Virtual University Faculty of Arts

• BS – Mass Communication, Economics, English (Applied Linguistics), Psychology, Sociology.
• ADP – Arts, Mass Communication, Psychology.
• Diploma – Applied Psychology, Television Production, English Language Teaching, Linguistics.

Faculty of Arts Admission Eligibility Criteria for BS and ADP Programs

• Intermediate (12 years of education)/ A- Level or equivalent qualification with at least 45% marks.
• Candidates having 33%-44% marks will be eligible for admission after the successful completion of “Zero Semester” (except for BS English Program).
• BS Psychology Programs is only offered within Pakistan.
• For BS courses, applicants having a B.A./B.Sc./Associate Degree (14 years of education) from an HEC recognized university/ institute with at least 45% marks or CGPA 2.00 out of 4.0 are also eligible for course exemption.

• A Bachelor’s or Associate Degree (14-Year of education) or Equivalent qualification from a recognized University/Institute with at least 45% marks or CGPA 2.00 out of 4.

Faculty of Education Admission Eligibility Criteria

• Intermediate (12 years of education)/ A- Level or equivalent qualification with at least 45% marks.
• B.Ed. Elementary and Diploma admission require a minimum Graduation and B.Ed. Secondary 1.5-Year required qualification is either a 2-year Master’s or 4-year BS Degree, or an equivalent qualification.

Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology

• BS – Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering.
• ADP – Computer Science, Computer Networking, Database Management system, Web Design, and Development.
• Diploma – Computer Science, Information Technology.

Faculty of CS & IT Admission Eligibility Criteria

• These programs require an intermediate/ A-Level / Equivalent qualification with Mathematics, having at least 50% marks (45% for Diploma).
• Students who have not studied Mathematics at an intermediate level have to take two deficiency courses.

Faculty of Management

• BS – Business Administration, Business & Information Technology (BBIT), Commerce, Public Administration.
• ADP – Accounting & Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, Islamic Banking, Human Resource Management, Operations Management, Sales and Marketing, Supply Chain Management.

Faculty of Management Admission Eligibility Criteria

• These programs require an intermediate/ A-Level / Equivalent qualification with at least 45% marks.
• For Diploma programs a minimum Bachelor’s Degree is required.

Faculty of Science and Technology

• BS – Mathematics, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Zoology
• ADP – Science
• Diploma – Bioinformatics, Molecular Biology

Faculty of Science and Technology Admission Eligibility Criteria

• Intermediate / A -level / I. Com / DAE or equivalent relevant qualification with Mathematics having at least 45% marks.
• BS Biology-related programs require Intermediate with Pre-medical or equivalent qualification.
• The qualification required for the BS Bioinformatics course is an intermediate qualification with an Engineering/Pre-Medical/Computer Science degree or an equivalent qualification with at least 45% marks.

Specialization Certificate

The program is open to graduates with 16 years of education in various disciplines and aims to enhance their skills and improve their educational, academic and professional qualifications while minimizing the cost of study. This will also expand students’ knowledge and enhance career opportunities in a rapidly changing and competitive business environment.

Documents Required For VU Admission

The applicants fulfill the basic admission requirements of a degree / diploma programs must possess the following documents:

• Meeting with the minimum prescribed admission requirements for the particular study program
  • Valid CNIC / B Form number
  • Valid Email address (Preferably applicant’s own)
  • Cell Phone number (Preferably applicant’s own)
  • Photographs of applicant (Passport Size with Blue Background)
  • Scanned documents with clear readability

Merit Base Programs Information

Applicants seeking admission to BS Bioinformatics, BS Biotechnology, BS Zoology, Diploma in Bioinformatics and Diploma in Molecular Biology Biology courses must select their lab preference as grades are determined based on LAB Wise.

The list of successful candidates for the BS degree programs will be published on the Virtual University website on the dates specified in the admissions schedule. Successful candidates will pay their fees on time.
